Homeland Park Community Task Force is a group of concerned residents who's goal is to improve living conditions in Homeland Park. Homeland Park is one of the origional areas of Anderson, comprised of mainly older mill homes and early 20th century buildings and factories. Over the course of time, businesses have left the area and with it the character of this community has diminished. Due to expansion within the county, this area has seen it's share of neglect and has been overlooked in future development.
Thus is the founding of the HPTF, and our goal to return this once-beautiful area to a sense of belonging and welcomeness as the south-western gateway to Anderson.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings begin promptly @ 6:00pm. Our meetings are held @ the Homeland Park Volunteer Fire Department, located on South Main Street in Homeland Park directly under the water tower. All residents are asked to attend.
